Creative Movement explores rhythm, balance and coordination with introductory dance technique as well as storytelling through (sometimes silly) choreography. Classes will include a brief socialization time to teach effective communication with classmates, fun warm-ups to encourage healthy exercise and a performance of the routine as an introduction to establishing a stage presence by performing both a Ballet and Jazz routine in our spring recital. This class is offered to ages 3-5 years old.

October 2nd-May 20th, 2023-2024

This class introduces dance to beginners ready to explore the dance styles of Jazz, Ballet and Lyrical! Dancers will learn about the history of dance, practice beginning level technique in the styles of Cecchitti ballet and Classical Musical Theater jazz, be challenged through creative improvisation exercises and will develop a stage presence by performing both a Jazz and Lyrical routine in our spring recital. This class is currently offered to ages 6-8.

October 4th-May 22nd

Wednesdays, 5:00-5:45pm

Following the same curriculum as our Rising Stars class, our Shining Stars are the next level in not only the basics of Jazz, Ballet and Lyrical, but also taking training to the next level with more in-depth history of dance, introducing more intricate footwork and additional creative improvisation exercises. This class will help dancers develop a strong stage presence by performing both a Jazz and Lyrical routine in our spring recital. This class is currently offered to ages 9-11.

October 3rd-May 21st, 2023-2024

An introductory course to the world of hip hop, this class explores different styles of street and urban dance from past and present! Dancers will learn about the history of hip hop, develop strength and coordination through beginning level hip hop technique, be challenged through creative improvisation exercises and will develop a stage presence by performing in our spring recital. This class is currently offered to ages 6-11.
